Frequently Asked Questions

Below is a list of the most frequent camps and clinics questions.

Do I have to pay online?

That is preferred, but you may mail a check/cash to NVVA at 45685 Oakbrook Court, Ste. 140, Sterling, VA 20166.

Do all activities have drop in fees?

No, but those that do often have a higher per session cost.

My plans have changed. I need to drop out. Can I get a full refund?

With a doctor’s note, a full refund is not a problem.  Otherwise, there is a registration fee assessed, and a refund given, with at least a week’s notice.

Can I pay half because I can only attend part of a multi-day camp?

Usually no, but if you check back on the opening day of a camp, and it has not filled, you might be able to drop-in for a partial fee.  No guarantee.

Are camps/clinics co-ed?

Almost all of the activities are co-ed.  The College Coaches Camp, a recruiting vehicle for girls’ volleyball, is the exception.

Are all of the activities at the VVC in Sterling?

With the exception of the sand clinics, held at the Dulles Golf & Sport Center close to the VVC, almost all activities are held at the VVC.  There is a Middle School Prep clinic series in August that will be held at Loudoun County High School.

How big are the camps/clinics?

We usually try to stay at about 14 -16 players per court maximum.

How are players grouped?

We group by age, experience and skill.  Often players change groups within a camp because their skills vary.  We often start with age to put players with their peers but move them as needed so they receive instruction appropriate to their skill level.

My player has never played – where should she start?

Despite the recommended age guidelines, VolleyJuniors is a perfect place for beginners to start.  All of the skills are introduced and it is only an hour at a time so players aren’t overwhelmed.
